Hype Week!

The Colts have done their part in ripping Rooney’s Panthers 31-7 yesterday in Charlotte. The Cheater Patriots did theirs by crushing the Redskins 52-7. Now we stand by for what will be the biggest week of hype for a regular season NFL game ever. It’s the Colts and Cheater Patriots next Sunday 4:15 in the dome for world supremacy! At least that is what it will seem like.

Honestly it is a huge game. Both teams along with the Steelers have been the class of the league for the past several seasons and now we have two undefeated heavyweights getting ready to go at it in what could well determine where the AFC Championship game is played. With half the season left to be played after this game is it too early to talk of home field advantage for the playoffs? Probably, but how can you not talk about it? The Colts have amassed a clean record and have won by a decisive 17+ point margin against some solid teams. The Cheater Patriots have posted even gaudier numbers although it has been against less talented teams.

It is stacking up to be the immovable object versus the irresistible force. A game for the ages. Name your cliché and you will likely hear it this week and I think it’s appropriate. Will the game live up to the hype? Who knows but these teams did put on a show last January in the dome. Of course it was like 2 separate games. Before that the Colts had won the previous 2 at New England after a period of disappointments against the Cheater Patriots.

I have to tell you, the Cheater Patriots looks great, but so do the Colts. Patient and physical seem to be the calling cards of this years team. Yesterday they looked like crap early on, but just kept plugging away on offense and finally got untracked. The defense had one series letdown, but for the second week in a row allowed just 7 points and this coming off a short week with 2 on the road. The Cheaters have been killing people and their defense has been pretty stingy itself.

Who’s going to win? Too early to tell for sure, but it should be a lot of fun talking about it this week and going to the game Sunday!
